Ashland Bike Share

A new Bike Share program in Ashland powered by Zagster

The original Bike share program in the Rogue Valley, funded by the United Way has come to an end. It was reported that although Ashland only had 20 percent of the bikes for sharing they had 50% of the use. This in spite of the fact that the only bike share spot was below the overpass on Lithia Way where it was hard to find. This summer the Council of Governments took over the project and has added 3 Bike Share Stations in Ashland then two more in Fall of 2017. There is also a station in Medford at the Front Street Transit Station. The five new Ashland bike share locations are well placed throughout town from south to north you can find them at these locations.: South Ashland:
  • Siskiyou Blvd near Tolman Creek Road
  • Ashland YMCA
There are two spots Downtown:
  • At the Ashland Plaza
  • Growler Guys on Lithia way
North Ashland
  • Laurel and North Main St. near the hospital.
To rent bikes, users can either download the Zagster app on a smart phone or go online to http://bike.zagster.com/jacksoncounty.
